Yellow Jackets make a nest inside The American Flag! From American Flag to Black Flag, these Yellow Jackets surrendered and met their match with my vacuum!
This species is Vespula maculifrons (Eastern Yellow Jackets) which is a subterranean Yellow Jacket species, but sometimes they build in cavities and living spaces.
