Yanbaru, Forests of the North. Ep.1 - Ryukyu Black Breasted Leaf Turtle @seawildearth

A diminutive Turtle species found only in these forested regions of Northern Okinawa. Coveted by collectors they are prone to poaching and often fall victim to traffic traveling the network of lightly used roads of the region.

Filmed using an iPhone6S Plus and a GoProHero4 Black Edition for the water scenes. Editing was carried out using LRTimelapse Pro with Adobe Lightroom for the time-lapse sequences. Main Video editing was carried out using FCPx and MPEG Streamclip for conversions from the 2K Master.
