By equipping the XP up items on Ichiban and others, you can achieve a ton of XP very quickly by farming "metal slimes". You will need access to Kamurocho, which is a late game area. Go to the sewer dungeon near Mach Bowl on the west side of town, then work your way through the dungeon's first floor. When you get to the save/heal point, do so then proceed to B2. Just follow the path I take, and use Korean Virgil's 21 MP rapid fire gun attack on the shaman, who are "metal slimes". This will lower their health, kill the surrounding enemies then finish him off. You'll get a ton of XP for your levels and job classes, so you can use this to max out Job Classes very quickly instead of normal grinding which would take forever.

Jim Sterling did NOT beat this boss lol. I actually think this fight is cool, there is a lot going on and its fun to dodge the various patterns. Took a death from the instant kill shockwave on the final form, but I dont care, this is good enough haha. All in all this is NOT a BAD game, I wouldnt even say its uninspired. But its definitely rough around the edges and the execution could have been a lot better. Not enough music tracks, lots of level/enemy repetition, and a loot system that makes it really hard to get money, which is used to upgrade various weapons. I would have preferred an arcade mode that has a shorter campaign and set weapon abilities/power. All in all this is a decent twin stick shooter, dont let the angry game nerds who suck at video games tell you its bad, because its not. People crying about the overheat mechanic, or not being able to shoot up are so unbelievably retarded lol. If you could shoot up in this game, theyd complain the controls are too complicated. Were talking about two sticks, and the shoulder buttons. You can jump and shoot any enemy above the ground, its that simple. Not wanting the overheat mechanic is like saying you dont want to use the brakes in a racing game. Its a skill based mechanic that you get used to, if you have a brain that is. Its people like that who make it hard for us to get actual difficult games anymore. Im sick of the press being wrong almost constantly anymore, they obviously dont pay attention to mechanics or play games at a level where they can grasp the ones that are right in front of them. People see Contra and expect a carbon copy of what they hold dear, its not always like that. This game definitely has some Contra elements and is actually action packed, but again its pretty repetitious and not executed particularly well. This guy was really tough to no damage for me. I was stumped on the laser beam attack timing, that attack is really tricky to air guard! The poison gas was tricking me in terms of dodge/guard timing so I just jumped over it.")
