It is said that on Friday the first of September eighteen hundred and eighty-five, around fifteen days after becoming the Imam, His Highness Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan arrived at the historic Mumbai Darkhana, being carried on the shoulders of his uncle Aga Jangi Shah, the Imam then ascended the Takht, thereafter Aga Jangi Shah presented a loyalty address, and the new Imam, aged seven years, nine months, and 16 days, addressed the gathering. This was followed by Sayyid Mushtaaqali rising and singing the munaajaat “યા અલી ખુબ મીજાલસ” he was joined in the singing by his father Sayyid Didaarali as well as all those who had gathered for the coronation ceremony. It is said that this munaajaat is written and composed by Sayyid Mushtaaqali.
