After swapping out the internals of my PSU with an ATX unit sourced from an old COMPAQ I was missing just one thing the Tick signal, this is required for the Amiga 2000 to boot. There is a jumper to use the internal tick generated by Agnus, this gets the system to boot but isn't a clean enough signal for my RTG / Scan doubler to function correctly. I found a simple 50Hz signal generator based on a 555 timer was a very cheap and satisfactory fix to the problem!
