In this video we talk about some mysterious results we found when testing out other components, such as hoppers, command blocks and even pistons! And in the end we have our conclusions.

The input bug in short, is a glitch or bug that appeared in the Minecraft version 1.5.1 - The Redstone Update. It affects the delays of certain components depending on what input method you use, and in this video we will show you why it happens, how to get around it and even how to use it to your advantage!
Feel free to take a look at our data with the spreadsheet provided in the links below. Our test world, “The Gallery”, is also downloadable in the links below including the script that we used to record our voices (with pictures included!). This may help you all out in understanding what we are talking about on a deeper level.

![Tutorial - 3 High Expandable Wall [Survival Friendly!]
Me and thegunmaster were fiddling around with these 3 high expandable walls, and we each made our own version. This is probably cheap as it can get, and its also very fast! Not the smallest, since this is more ment for people who actually do want to build it. Tutorial - 3 High Expandable Wall [Survival Friendly!]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BJ31FIuS1hQ/mqdefault.jpg)

![[Tutorial] Minecraft - Alternative vertical transmissions (down)
Shows 2 techniques how to send a signal down without the use of redstone staircases etc. The first one takes advantage of items dispensed by a dispenser, which lands on a wooden pressure plates, and the second one a boat on pressure plates which is on or of depending if theres any water.
Dispenser method Pros and Cons:
+ Quite fast
+ Transmission pipe only 1x1 unit
- 5 Minute cooldown (and 5 minute on time)
- Needs to sacrifise some type of item.
When this method could be useful: When you need to activate something which you rarely activate which is far beneath the ground, perhaps where there is little room for a redstone curcuit staircase. Might be an idea to hook up 2 of these to a memory cell so you can shut it off as well.
Water+Boat method Pros and Cons:
+No need to sacrifise anything
+No cooldowns
+Transmission pipe only 2x1 o 1x1 unit
-Takes a long time to shut off (except if you use a one block water stream)
When this method could be useful: When the 5 minute cooldown of the other method is a problem and you active/deactivate this often. Also good when theres little room for vertical transmissions with redstone staircases. ![Simple 5x5 Cave Door [Tutorial]
The concept which AlexPaqette1 came up with, but compacted into its most smallest form.

ShizelFish finished the first most compact version, which was a continuation of my bottom part, however, it was greatly redone. Heres his video: http://youtu.be/nFyesD1m6A8
Obviously I was not in a rush, and wanted it as simple as possible, and this is the version i settled with. The top part could probably be a tick or 2 faster, but cant be bothered now :) Simple 5x5 Cave Door [Tutorial]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BWQiV4zjgsY/mqdefault.jpg)

This is the toggle-able clock with a on/off switch basically. Quite easy stuff, but it sure can be useful :) [Tutorial] Minecraft - Compact Toggleable Clock](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/DoivRFpdpy0/mqdefault.jpg)
![[Tutorial] Compact Flush 4x4 Door
