Space Mog | XRISM releases first data and big problems... @SpaceMog | Uploaded 7 months ago | Updated 1 day ago
Hi Spacecats, I'm Dr Maggie Lieu and welcome to my channel, where you can find all things space, astronomy and physics! In this week's video, we look at the XRISM's first release image and data.

This video offers an in-depth look at the first images from JAXA's X-ray telescope, describing the galaxy cluster Abell2319 and the X-ray spectra captured of the bright supernova remnant N132D. We look at the instruments XTEND and RESOLVE that captured them and discuss the big issue XRISM is currently facing, that may make us believe there is a curse in X-ray astronomy after the previous loss of Hitomi and plagues of problems with previous telescopes like Suzaku.
