This is my build and test of the XR2206 based function generator kit which includes the PCB, components and acrylic case. This is a really affordable kit, costing around $7-$10 and it seems to work pretty well. It offers square, sine and triangular waveforms from 1Hz to 1MHz with course and fine adjustment as well as amplitude adjustment. It was pretty easy to put together and worked the first time, I don't think there is anything complicated about the build.
