In this video I show how I repaired a Xiaomi Smart Lightstrip that suddenly stopped working completely.

The light strip showed no signs of life, so I started by diagnosing the problem and checking whether the fault was in the LED strip itself or in the power supply.

In this tutorial I cover:
- testing the original power adapter
- diagnosing the fault
- powering the light strip from a bench power supply
- verifying that the LED strip still works
- adapting and modifying an old power adapter
- restoring the light strip to full functionality
- final testing and results
