This track was a collaboration by me, Samantha, and Xero, created for the (second) Fantasy CT Jam, where it placed sixth. It is my first high-effort CT Jam submission since Wario's Confectionary Cloudfactory, over two years ago. It is funny that these two tracks ended up being aligned in their releases, as they both have a similar vibe in a way that I can't quite describe.
This is it, my grand return (before another long absense lol). In terms of gameplay, this is one of my best, and it really is a love letter to the style I've developed over the years, however limited it may be by Sketchup.
This jam was a big milestone, reaching 1000 total tracks from CT Jams (not even including all of the spin-offs like Jellies and Turbo Jams), and it coincided with the fifth and final TASer collaboration, as well as the last jam of series 3, the 75th total jam. The massive impact this event has had in keeping the CT community alive goes without saying. And we won't be slowing down anytime soon! Here's to many more years of MKW custom tracks.Warios Confectionary Cloudfactory [MKW Custom Track]Jaden2024-08-13 | Download: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Wario%27s_Confectionary_Cloudfactory
This track was a collaboration by me and Slimeserver, created and submitted to the Candy CT Jam in an unfinished state, where it placed third. I have now created a finalized version of this track, which restores its original vision as part of the WCC lore.
In addition to finally finishing this old CT Jam track, I have also participated in the latest CT Jam, with the theme of fantasy, which was also a collaboration. Look out for a video on that track in the coming days. There's a couple other projects that I've also made good progress on, but with college approaching again those might still take a while.
In an ideal world this video would have come before the deranged April Fools video, but here we are.
Stay on the lookout for the Super Paper Mario streams and videos starting later this month, as well as my few upcoming MKW projects.Stop Funky Abuse 2Jaden2024-04-01 | The sequel that no one asked for.
Actual custom track projects coming soonPyroclastic Gymnastics [MKW Custom Track]Jaden2023-08-04 | This is a collaboration by me and Rex. It was originally planned for Mayro's "Floor is Lava" Kaizo Mario Kart event, but being me it took about 7 months to finally finish it. The track itself is an obstacle course, featuring many unique platforming challenges. I've wanted to make a stage like this for ages, and I'm really proud of the result.
1. Fort Francis was accepted into CTGP!!! Thank you all so much for the incredible support! For this reason, I am working on an even bigger v3.0 update which I've made decent progress on already. If you are a CT creator and want to help with the more advanced visual details I normally ignore, please reach out. However, I'm currently taking a break from the track to focus on some other projects, such as...
2. I have finally begun work on my final old CT Jam update, Crepuscular Crossover, which I plan to rename Twilight Skyscraper. I've just about finished the model, and it's a complete visual overhaul. It's definitely my biggest glow-up of them all. I've got some creative ideas on how to spice up the gameplay too! I've also released some other smaller track updates, the most sizable of those being for Wet Wet Ruins and SNES Vanilla Lake 2, so I recommend checking those out, although I did not bother rerecording a video for them.
3. Speaking of CT Jams, I've recently rejoined the server after one and a half years. I'm pretty much officially back in the community full steam, and some new jam entries in the future are not out of the picture, time permitting.
4. There's an absolutely massive MKW project that both Rex and I are working on (unrelated to this track). A trailer and discord server for that will likely be out sometime this month. It's definitely the most ambitious thing I've ever attempted in this community, but if it happens it'll be a ton of fun!
5. Finally, I begin my second year of college in about 10 days. I have an even more packed schedule than last year, so I will once again likely disappear from this channel.
HOWEVER, as I am studying music composition, I am thinking of making a second channel to highlight my original works. My greatest inspirations are video game soundtracks, so I feel many of my pieces will appeal to you who already follow my custom tracks.
In fact, my first major project has been composing original themes for Mario Kart Midnight 2023 (four and counting). This second channel will likely become my new "main" channel of sorts, as I expect to be more active musically than with custom tracks in the future, as part of my schoolwork. My goal is to push for monetization, whether through the channel itself, or through donations or commissions.
So, with all of that being said, thank you again for supporting me in all of my creative endeavours, the best is yet to come!Fort Francis (When Geeks Custom Track v2.0)Jaden2023-05-18 | Download: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Fort_Francis
I have at last returned after my first year of college, which went very well! I worked on some MKW projects throughout the year, but I didn't have the time to sit down and really finish something off until now. Not sure what else I'll get to this summer, but I'm not retiring from CT creation just yet...
In fact, I think this might be my best solo track effort, nailed the gameplay and unique theme. This is easily my most ambitious CT Jam update, essentially making it into an entirely new track, hence the name change. Alas, it seems there may be no more excuses keeping me from that Crepuscular Crossover overhaul...
For anyone who is wondering, I do not currently plan to participate in CT Jams again, my projects will remain outside of any competitive environment for now. Thanks as always for watching, I'm glad to be back on the CT scene.Beating Mushroom Gorge Backwards [MK8DX DLC Wave 2]Jaden2022-08-05 | I thought this challenge was interesting enough to upload to my channel. It's mildly difficult so you may want to try it for yourself.
Also, a quick update. I am currently taking a break from MKW custom tracks to work on another series I hinted at earlier this summer, so look out for that in the coming week or so. Once I head to college I will take another indefinite break from YouTube, so be prepared for that as well, I hope you enjoyed my uploads this summer!Battlerock Galaxy [MKW Custom Battle Arena]Jaden2022-07-23 | CT Wiiki Page: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Battlerock_Galaxy
Yes, I am still not finished with my backlog of old projects, I severely underestimated my procrastination abilities. Regardless, I am extremely happy with how this came out, my only annoyance is that I could not get the Topmen enemies to work properly, and a custom Topman enemy I found on the Wiiki causes a crash... only when hit with a shell. Hopefully I can release an update that fixes this in the future, but for now I just wanted to get the stage out.
As far as battle arenas go, I think this is easily my best. I went all out on the visuals, and the moving platform gimmick worked out better than expected. I'd like to thank Kanto and YoshTaku with help regarding the custom music, I think it is much more fitting than Delfino Pier's original theme.
If I had actually finalized this for the Super Mario Galaxy CT Jam, perhaps I could have had a chance at a top spot, but based on the amount of issues I encountered when returning to this project, bailing to my Hurry-Scurry joke track was definitely the right call.Warios Battle Canyon [MKW Custom Battle Arena]Jaden2022-07-18 | Wiiki Pages: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Codename:_WARIO%27 wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Wario%27s_Battle_Canyon
I know the title might be a little confusing, but this is an update to Codename: WARIO' first and foremost, that I then also converted into a functional battle arena. I separated them into two different wiki pages, but decided to make one video to cover them both!
I did already update Codename: WARIO' earlier this year, but that update left much to be desired, so I decided to return to it again to completely finalize it once and for all. With this double update day complete, that only leaves one last CT Jam track for me to overhaul: the dreaded Crepuscular Crossover...Checkout Route v2.0 [MKW Custom Track]Jaden2022-07-18 | Wiiki Page: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Checkout_Route
This update was originally made in early 2021, although after encountering issues with the draw distance, I abandoned it until now. This is likely the final major update I will make for this track. Although I know it is a rather basic track, it was my first, and I want to do it justice.
This update solely focuses on the visuals, in which I have massively improved both the theming (with the track now taking place inside of Coconut Mall) and the polish (with better textures, mipmaps, and vertex colors).
Finally, I think it is an interesting coincidence that this update happens to be releasing almost exactly two years after my intial update to this track. I've definitely come a long way since the CTools days, and I wanted to thank you all for joining me on this wild ride!Pianta Plaza v2.0 [MKW Custom Track]Jaden2022-07-10 | Wiiki Page: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Pianta_Plaza
Finally got around to updating another of my old CT Jam entries, and this update is a full overhaul, finally completing the vision I had for the track back in April 2021.
Codename: WARIO''s update will be next, and Checkout Route will recieve a final v2.0 not long after. I am still undecided on whether to return to Crepuscular Crossover or not, although if I do, I will likely transform it into a battle stage as well.
Finally, I do have plans for some new original tracks, but I decided to complete these updates first!
As for the time trial, it took a long time to get this run, but I’m pretty happy with it. This route showcases nearly every shortcut in the track, and pulling them all off in one run is no easy task! My favorite shortcut is probably the shroomless method for the rooftop mud cut, using the boost panel.Super Mario Maker 2 - Versus HighlightsJaden2022-06-26 | I was going through my Switch album and realized I had captured quite a few interesting moments from Super Mario Maker 2, so I decided to make this highlight video. I plan to make some more highlight videos for switch games I have played soon.
Most of these clips are from 2020 and 2021, which is when I did most of my grinding for S+ rank. I am not sure if I will ever go for the pink S+ rank or not, but if I do, I may upload another highlight video for this game in the distant future.SM64 Castle Grounds [MKW Custom Battle Arena]Jaden2022-06-11 | CT Wiiki Page: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/SM64_Castle_Grounds
If you don't remember a v1.0 being posted on my channel, that's because it wasn't! I originally started work on this port back in April 2021 for CLF78's Hide and Seek custom game mode. I did not finish the stage until the end of 2021, and it wasn't until now that I finally returned to it in order to make it into a functional battle arena.
The enemy routes are still far from perfect, but it was the best I could get them given the very complex layout of the stage. Overall, I am happy with how this stage came out, although I do still think that the track is much more fun in Hide and Seek, without the reduced battle mode speed. I recommend trying the stage out in that game mode first if you have the group to do so!
Finally, I know this model has been made into a regular custom track before, however I really do not feel that the layout works well for this. However, if any of you want to go ahead and give it a try using this version, feel free to challenge yourselves, it's not a project I personally plan to take on!Harvest Harbor [MKW Custom Track]Jaden2022-06-07 | CT Wiiki Page: wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Harvest_Harbor
This track was originally started back in November 2021 for one of Citrus' CT Secret Santa events. The layout I chose (as seen in the first few seconds of the video) was designed by OrangeYoshi.
This design in particular appealed to me because it is a combination of Maple Treeway and Delfino Square, two of my favorite tracks. Although I took just a tad over the time limit, I am very happy with how it came out. I think I was able to keep the track faithful to the original drawing while still putting my own spin on it (other than the wind on the bridge, which was too awkward to implement well, so I decided to convey the wind with a sound trigger instead).
For the two of you who read the description, here's a quick update. I left the CT Jams community at the beginning of this year, which is why my uploads abruptly halted (that combined with being busy with school). At first, I wasn't planning to make any more tracks, but recently I came to the realization that I do still enjoy making tracks as a hobby, I just don't enjoy the toxicity/pressure of CT Jams or the community as a whole.
So, I plan to proceed with my channel as normal and to make tracks at my own pace, which could be very slow considering I just graduated high school and will be heading to college in August. In the meantime, I want to get to my last few remaining unfinished projects, so stay on the lookout for those. I am currently working on converting my SM64 Castle Grounds hide and seek stage into a proper battle stage.
Finally, I have wanted to branch out to other games for a while, and last year, I documented as much as I could about the cancelled project Super Mario Galaxy 2.5, so I may be posting my discoveries here sometime this summer. I'm starting to look into some other communities as well, so don't be surprised if you see some new stuff in the near future! I've had a lot of personal things to focus on since April, so I had to take an unexpected break from my channel, but what better way to end that than with an unexpected return on Thanksgiving day! I am very busy now that I am back at school in person, but hopefully I will be able to upload around twice a month from now on. And hey, at least I finally figured out how to get rid of the black border on all of my videos...
I have always found Super Paper Mario to be a very intriguing game, from the environments to the characters to the story, it is a game I think about often. I did not have much time to work on this track, so the layout and decorations are rather minimal, although I did include at least a couple references to the source level. Me and a friend both decided to make Bitlands tracks in order to mess with someone else who frequently makes Paper Mario themed tracks for the jams. The layout was completely improvised, but I still focused on the gameplay (like with my Hurry-Scurry track earlier this year) and it paid off this time. Despite all odds, I ended up placing 2nd out of 15!(April Fools 2021) A perfectly normal Mario Kart Wii videoJaden2021-04-02 | At the beginning of the video I mention that it will be 11:59 when this video releases. Unfortunately though, YouTube only supports releasing scheduled videos in 15 minute intervals. For that reason, I have to premiere this at midnight exactly, so it will actually be a few minutes over.
Either way, this will be an abomination, easily worse than my Funky Abuse video from last year. And no, this is not a continuation of that video, as I did not have time to do that in addition to my other projects, so it will likely be released next year.
This was done live, in one take. There were earlier attempts that did not work out because of technical difficulties, but this was the first attempt I had with a functional set-up, so take that for what it is.

Here is the video that explains how I did it: youtu.be/XI0QW2tpxrQ
If you are wondering about my actual thoughts on the likelihood of a GCN Mario Circuit ultra shortcut, I would say it is very unlikely, as there is still no easy way to get OOB next to the line, and not much to do to actually cut off the corner. I just decided to go with it for this video as it is a lesser talked about track, and was the easiest to fake a convincing ultra shortcut with.Six Unfinished Custom TracksJaden2021-04-01 | CT Wiki Page: http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/User:JadenMKW Pianta Plaza Video: youtu.be/6MZmNQbBxsQ Grumble Rock Time Trial: youtu.be/ofoEZ9uXhJU

It has been far too long since my last CT Jam track, but I am finally back, and with what I consider to be my greatest solo track yet. Although it lacks the polish of Wet Wet Ruins due to the focus on diverse gameplay, I will definitely update the track to be up to the visual and technical standards of my other tracks at some point.
I wanted to try a different format than usual for this video to showcase all of the cool strategies jam-packed into this track. YoshTaku has a versus race on his channel if you want a more traditional video. This track was actually started five months ago, but due to me procrastinating it was not finished until now. First of all, sorry for the bad audio quality, I was under a time crunch to get this video uploaded so I wasn't able to rerecord it. Anyway though, this is probably my favorite track I've made yet, as it was my first time using both vertex colors and custom animations. It started out as a joke track where I then realized it had a ton of potential, so I decided to go all out and open the season strong! As school is starting soon for me, I am not sure if I will be able to participate in any of the other jams this season or just work on tracks in general. Once again, I'm probably not going to release any of my CT Jam tracks until I get a chance to touch them up, so stay tuned for that later this summer once the season wraps up! I've always wanted to make a custom track, so I finally decided that I would make the effort this summer. The track placed 5th out of 8, which I'll take gladly! If you really want to download this track for some reason, you can do it from the CT Jam Discord server, and check out the rest of the tracks from this jam in the process. Some of them are very good, and are actually worth playing unlike this monstrosity! I'm planning to participate in every CT Jam I can from now on, so stay tuned for more mediocre Mario Kart custom tracks! In all seriousness though, I want to improve as much as possible and I think this is the best way to do it, and it ironically puts the least pressure on me to make a really good track!
To be honest, I'm kind of burnt out from glitch content right now as I feel like I've already exhausted most of my ideas (I only had a few more glitch videos planned anyway for this summer), so I'm going to take a break from that and focus more on custom track creation and other projects instead! I've been taking a break from YouTube for the last few weeks to just relax a bit, so I wanted to return with something a little bit different and special! I guess in a way this is my 100/150 subscriber celebration, so thank you all so much for supporting my channel over these last few months! I know none of you were expecting this type of content from me, but hopefully you'll still enjoy the more creative side of my personality! My regular glitch-hunting content is not gone by any means either, I have two more videos planned to come out later this month now that I'm back. There is still a mystery series I haven't revealed yet too, as this wasn't actually it. That will probably be delayed to June though, due to my much needed break! I know the overall quality isn't that great, but this is my very first time composing a song like this, so I still have a lot to learn! I'm not sure if I'm actually going to make more of these or not due to how extremely time consuming it was, but I had a lot of fun with it, so who knows?
I recently rediscovered a bunch of old drawings of original Mario Kart tracks I had made when I was a lot younger, so I decided to challenge myself and redesign some of them. I'm not very talented at drawing, but I still think I did a sufficient enough job that you can at least understand what my ideas were for the track. The second goal of this project was to see if I could compose a song matching the style of Mario Kart for the track, and I think I succeeded! I might make a sheet music version of it too if you want to play it on the piano down the road! And yes, I realize I could just create the track myself, but that would be a massive undertaking (it's out of my skill range anyway), so I think it would be wiser to just pitch the track instead to see if anyone else is inspired to make it!
Track Description:
The layer of fog is the main gimmick of the track (that's what the weird gray squiggly lines in the middle of the track are supposed to represent). Just like water or lava in some custom tracks, you can't see through it, so when you're above it, you can only see above it, and when you're below it, you can only see below it.
The start line is in the bottom left corner of the drawing, and you immediately drive up the curved cliff face through the fog. There is a shortcut halfway up if you dive off to the right and land on the metal grate platform. I didn't draw in item boxes, but there would probably be a set at the top of the cliff. Once at the top, you jump down onto a mushroom and land on a mesa. However, this mesa dips slightly below the fog, so you can repeatedly trick off of bumps to rapidly alternate between being above and below the fog, which I think would make for a neat visual effect!
Next, a steep metal grate brings you all the way up to the top of an even bigger mesa, where you make an immediate u-turn into a gigantic river. I think the next item set should be located midway up the metal grate. Another shortcut could be made here if you cut hard to the right at the top of the metal grate and shroom once you land in the off-road, in order to skip the u-turn. You would then follow the river briefly until it passes through a grate (which you just drive over normally) where it then becomes a very tall waterfall beneath you. Right after that you trick off a boost panel and fall for a long time parallel to the waterfall, though a cannon could be used here if this is too complex to work properly. After passing through the fog, you land in a giant yet shallow lake which has the last set of item boxes, and a big red arrow tells you which way to go, as well as the current pushing you in that direction too.
For the remainder of the track you follow the river, with some minor off-road shortcuts too (like the boost panel, shrooming past the mushroom, and shrooming onto the ramp). Finally, you merge off of the river onto one last metal grate to get back onto the track, and drive the rest of the way back up to the start line. However, there is an intended Final Lap shortcut if you continue to go straight instead, where you trick off another waterfall into the abyss. This would normally kill you, but because the river is parallel to the start, you can get a lap count before you die, and due to not having to veer off of the track and getting more time with the current boosting you, I'm almost certain it would be faster, especially considering it could be done shroomless! As you can see, I spent a long time thinking out everything in this track and how it would function in a race!
Anyway, this has got to be my longest description yet, but I really wanted to explain everything about the track without talking over the music for a long time, so this was my solution! As always, if you have any advice on how I can improve, I would appreciate it greatly. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous releasing this video, but I figured I might as well give it a shot!OOB Checkpoints UpdateJaden2020-04-19 | Original Discovery Video: youtu.be/x-WtH-Rrvg0
Major thanks goes to cf for being the one to locate the GCP in Grumble Volcano as well as noticing the lap completion freezing while driving through them! I feel like we are on the verge of a colossal discovery, as the new theory that these may not be checkpoints at all but rather triggers instead could be very useful, as what checkpoint they give you might be able to be manipulated to whatever we want it to be!
In the meantime, there are still many mysteries about these OOB checkpoints that need to be solved, like why random checkpoints don't "work" and what causes them to appear in tracks without branching paths!
My 100 subscriber special is probably going to be a video going into all of the tracks that don't have an ultra yet and me ranking and explaining how likely I think each one is to happen, so stay tuned for that in the near future too! Besides continuing looking into these OOB checkpoints though, I think it might finally be time for me to branch out and start making videos on some other games! There's a series I've literally been planning for years that I'm thrilled to finally be able to start production on soon, so stay tuned for the premiere of that series sometime next month also!
Finally, today is the one year anniversary of when I started uploading videos, and I wanted to thank everyone for supporting my channel! I'm not sure whether this is a colossal discovery or something small yet interesting, but I guess that will all depend on whether some shortcuts can be found using this. If you want to help, the easiest thing you can do is look to see if these checkpoints also appear in Custom Tracks, as that would prove if they were placed intentionally by people or if they were all created by some faulty code. Once again, it blows my mind that something like this was lurking in the game for nearly 12 years undetected until now. After all, there's no indication that these checkpoints exist ingame unless you use a checkpoint counter mod like I was (or use their respawns to test like I did), and even then, you would still have to be in the exact right place at the right time! Many of these glitchy checkpoints don't even extend inbounds at all, so reaching them would be a near impossible task.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for 100 subscribers, right before the one year anniversary of when I started uploading videos too! I never would have even believed I could have reached this milestone in one year, so thank you so much for supporting my channel! I was planning to make a 100 subscriber special, but my idea kind of fell short, so take this video as the 100 sub special instead for now, and I might do another video at a later date!
I am thinking of finally branching out and making some content on different games, so please let me know if that's something you would be interested in! One of them I've been planning for longer than my channel has been in existence, though it will take a ton of editing! So, stay tuned for the premiere of that series later this month, and I will continue to make Mario Kart Wii glitch content in the meantime!(April Fools 2020) Stop Funky AbuseJaden2020-04-01 | #StopFunkyAbuse
Seriously though, why the hell does Funky morph into a corrupted sleep paralysis demon when you moonjump high enough? I'm going to have nightmares...
I also updated the channel art appropriately if you want to take a quick look!Races in Battle Mode on CTGPJaden2020-03-28 | INDIVIDUAL RACES:

Now I know it's been a while since I uploaded, but I wanted to take a break in the midst of all of the chaos going on in the world right now! None of my projects have been cancelled (with the exception of the ultra shortcut guide, it was too much work for the negative reception it got), just pushed back some! Remember to stay safe guys!Luigi Circuit Ultra Shortcut Theory Update & Possible Barrel Roll LocationJaden2020-03-07 | To be honest, I don't know enough about barrel rolls to be confident about anything in this video, but this could potentially be a huge discovery. There's also a large possibility that this location has already been known for a while, but I thought it was worth mentioning at the least. I would say that this ultra shortcut theory still needs a substantial amount of work, but I also have a feeling that it's a lot closer than it seems...Mario Kart Wiis Checkpoint System ExplainedJaden2020-03-04 | Reuploaded Version to fix Volume: youtu.be/-uWyH01s24M
This is probably the most time and effort I've ever put into a video, so now I can only hope it doesn't get forgotten in a week! This video was one of my biggest goals since I returned to YouTube, and I'm so happy to have finally finished (at least one third of) it! The checkpoint system is one of the most complicated concepts in Mario Kart Wii and it's time that someone finally went out of their way to explain it! How else can the community ever have a true appreciation for ultra shortcuts if they aren't even understood!
In fact, using the knowledge gained from this video, I hope to make an explanation video for every new ultra shortcut. I also plan to cover another interesting glitch (sadly it is CTGP exclusive) and I will have a few videos on that coming out soon! Let's just say that I may have made a few interesting observations with the help of this glitch...
The next part of the guide is not a priority of mine, so expect it sometime next month! I also made another small (currently useless) discovery in Luigi Circuit, so expect a very short video explaining that later this week!
I don't know if I ever actually mentioned this, but the extracurricular activities I do are the school musicals and cross-country running! I'm mentioning this now because the next show's rehearsals are starting up soon, so I really have no clue how often I'll be able to upload. I had most of February off, but I'll try my best to get all of the aforementioned videos out in the next one or two months!
One final project I haven't thought much about yet is that top 100 video games song playlist you might have noticed on my channel! I know you've only really seen the logical thinking side of me, so I thought it would be fun if I made a video of all of my favorite video game songs, so you can see the musical side of me! I'll keep the playlist up but it does need to be updated drastically in the next few weeks. Although it might not end up being a video, stay on the lookout for that too, as I've already put in a TON of effort compiling and ranking the list of songs!
Well, that's a lot to say, but I hope you have a good idea of the state of my channel now. One final thing I will mention is that I do have a 100 subscriber special planned, and let's just say it involves my musical side...draw_demoJaden2020-02-24 | Once again, this doesn't really fit the glitch-hunting playlist, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. I probably won't upload another demo race or battle exploration for a while, as there's not much else to cover there anyway.
This isn't my highest quality video by any means, but I wanted to get a video out this weekend while I continue to work on my ultra shortcut guide. It's definitely going to be my most time-consuming project yet, but I really think it's going to be worth it. Even if you're not interested in searching for ultra shortcuts, it'll give you a lot more insight into how the existing ultra shortcuts work.
I have yet another busy week coming up, so I don't think I'm going to be able to upload for a while. I might upload some smaller videos in the meantime, but I'll get the guide out as soon as I can. I'm a little less than halfway done! Once again, thanks for supporting my channel! I can't help but notice I'm starting to get close to 100 subscribers, so I'll have to start thinking about a special that I want to make! If you have any suggestions, just let me know in the comments...ending_demoJaden2020-02-20 | I know this isn't a glitch technically, but I didn't know where else to put it. I'm thinking about showing off all of the inaccessible tracks. There's only a few, so it wouldn't take very long, and they do have some very interesting details...
I am finally beginning work on my ultra shortcut guide. It's going to take A LOT more work than my normal videos (coming up with a script, visuals, resources, etc.) and I will probably end up breaking it into multiple parts! I do have a few more small videos I'm planning to make in the meantime. If not for the usefulness, I hope you will find the guide interesting and entertaining, and thanks again for supporting my channel!Luigi Circuit Ultra Shortcut TheoryJaden2020-02-17 | MAJOR UPDATE: youtu.be/IQfJSS1ZAWU
hope I managed to convince you today to take the possibility of a Luigi Circuit ultra shortcut seriously! It's probably one of the more likely tracks actually, especially if a barrel roll strategy is found to navigate below the track on that weird OOB plane.
I do have two new series set to premier sometime in the near future, one of them will actually be a callback to the first series I ever created on this channel, before any of you even knew I existed!
I think I'll finish up the battle stage series eventually, but for now I can see people aren't very interested in it and the remaining tracks weren't very exciting anyways! Thanks again for supporting my channel, and I'll keep churning out content whenever I can!Battle Stage Exploration Ep. 3 - Funky StadiumJaden2020-02-15 | Although it's nothing groundbreaking, I've once again made a few interesting observations on a battle stage. By far the most interesting is that the top of the television screens actually have collision and can be tricked off of. Unfortunately, there is no way to stay up there as it boosts you off, but if you could, it would be a really good hiding spot to guarantee you never get hit.
I am aware about the possibility of hugging the invisible walls to either side of the start to navigate out of bounds, but I was unable to get it to work after many attempts (although I know it is possible), so if someone wants to investigate that possibility, that would be greatly appreciated!
This busy week is finally over, so now I can focus on those new series I've been talking about! Expect the first of them to come out sometime next week. I'm trying to branch out and do more than just glitch-hunting Mario Kart Wii content, so I hope you can understand and will continue to be entertained by my content!Battle Stage Exploration Ep. 2 - Delfino PierJaden2020-02-10 | After this episode I can safely say this series has already exceeded my expectations! However, the retro stages probably won't have nearly as many discoveries, so I'll probably combine them all into one big finale video. The series will be quite short in the end, but I think quality goes over quantity.
This week is going to be really busy, so I'll probably only be able to upload once or twice! I do have a few more new series planned to release later this month though, so stay tuned for those as well!
Just like clipping OOB in Block Plaza, if anyone can manage to get inside of the chimney, that would be really neat and I would love to see a video of it!Bowser Castles Teleportation (and Collision) GlitchJaden2020-02-07 | If anyone has any theories for how this might work, please let me know! I really have no clue with this one, all I know is that it is caused by this one particular object...
If this glitch could be used somehow to gain a bunch of height, the 200cc ultra shortcut might actually be possible 150cc, although that's extremely unlikely.
I might be taking a break again from my channel soon, as lots of other things are happening in my life. Unfortunately, my YouTube channel is always the first thing I am forced to surrender in these kinds of situations. I do not know when or if I will ever be able to upload consistently, but I will keep trying my best regardless. So in the meantime, stay tuned for more videos whenever I can get them out, just don't be surprised or concerned if I suddenly disappear every once in a while! As I have mentioned in the past, I do MANY different activities, and they can be very demanding at times.
I have many ideas for fun videos that I want to make, and my goal is to have most of them done by the end of 2020. Not all of them are related to Mario Kart Wii either! As always, thanks for the support, it really means a lot to me!Battle Stage Exploration Ep. 1 - Block PlazaJaden2020-02-05 | I'm planning to make a short video on all of the battle tracks. I'm going to be really busy again next week, but this time I thought ahead and recorded some more of these videos, and I can say that I have already made some really interesting discoveries!
If anyone wants to take up the challenge of getting OOB, that would be awesome (though maybe you could send me a video of you doing it, because as I said earlier, I need content for next week!!!)
As always, I'll still be coming up with theories for ultra shortcuts and hunting for glitches, I just wanted to try something a little different! If you have any feedback on what I could do for a new series or how to improve on existing ones, that would mean a lot, as I'm still learning! Thanks for watching and I'll be back soon!Peach Gardens Ultra Shortcut TheoryJaden2020-02-02 | THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL THEORY! IT'S JUST A VIDEO EXPLAINING A THEORY!
When I started looking into ultra shortcuts back in mid-2019, DS Peach Gardens was the track that stuck out the most to me. After some experimenting, I actually got the lap to count using moonjump, which was quite the accomplishment for me back then! This video details the three methods that could be used to get an ultra shortcut in Peach Gardens, all using the OOB method on the white ramp, although other OOB methods are probably possible:
1. Clip from inside of fence by start 2. Dive OOB from seam (not a clip) 3. Driving on the OOB plane without dying (through barrel rolls, lucky bounces, or other methods...)
I''ll be introducing a few new series soon, so stay tuned for those, and as always, thanks for supporting my channel!Replay Glitch Tutorial + ExplanationJaden2020-01-24 | Glitch begins at 6:18
Sorry about the bad audio quality!
This is my longest video by far, but I think it is also my most informative. I've spent the last few days trying to figure out this glitch, and I can safely say I'm the majority of the way there. There are only two things I feel like I don't fully understand yet:
1. Why leaving the "Quit Replay" menu open causes the glitch to occur. 2. Why the game soft-locks instead of restarting when you finish the race/replay.
If a way to exit the race and have your time actually save is ever discovered, this glitch could be historic, but in the meantime, it's only really intriguing for the strange effects it can cause and the insight it brings on the nature of ghost replays.
Unfortunately, I'm already hitting another big week of activities. I really can't seem to catch a break! I'll try my best to keep uploading, but it's getting really difficult with the extremely negative feedback I've been receiving from my parents. They don't understand the concept of using video games to create something (they think I'm just mindlessly playing a brain-dead game and achieving nothing, despite me explaining to them about my YouTube channel and glitch discoveries), so they're guilting me into doing activity after activity after activity that I really don't care about all that much.
I wish I could just have a break to focus on Mario Kart Wii for once, especially after all of my big discoveries, but instead of trying to understand when I need it the most, they're more ignorant than ever. All of the negativity really hurts my motivation as well, but I don't want to give up yet because I know that there's more here for me to find! Sorry for ranting, but I thought it would be better if you understood the situation I'm in right now.
I'll be back whenever I can with more videos, just keep in mind that it might be a very long time if things continue the way they are going!Moo Moo Meadows Ultra Shortcut TheoryJaden2020-01-20 | UPDATE: Yes, I know it's happened. youtu.be/A_38TZSWDDk
Just like before, if what I'm saying can be done the way I'm saying it, another ultra shortcut WILL exist, and the third one in 2020 too, all in January!
I've had enough of those pesky cones and now I'm back with another full-fledged ultra shortcut theory! In case the actual theory for the shortcut itself was vague, here are the instructions:
1. Use the OOB exploration glitch to get OOB by the start line.
2. Drive a lap along the border to save the setup time for the flap (as that is all this ultra shortcut will be useful for anyway).
3. Clip onto the OOB seam (orange in the image) from within the fence and ride along it back down the track.
4. Either hop back inbounds, or dive below the OOB ground to get the final bit of distance.
5. Finish the lap, and pray it's faster!
ALTERNATELY
1. Same as before up until the clip within the fence.
2. Clip directly towards the last key checkpoint instead.
3. Get a lucky bounce on the OOB hill/slope to get some extra distance and land safely back on the track.
4. Finish the lap, and pray it's faster!
I still have some more theories to share, though this was my last complete theory (for now). If you have any suggestions or ideas for anything, I would love to hear them in the comments, and we can have a brainstorming session/discussion! I like to think that I have a pretty technical understanding of the game now, so hopefully I can answer any questions you might have too!Cone Teleportation 2 (Overlapping Cones)Jaden2020-01-19 | I've been SUPER busy, so I wanted to get something out. Thankfully, all of that craziness is behind me now, and I can start to focus on looking for actual shortcuts again, at least for the time being. For those of you wondering, I had a chorus concert and finals week at the same time, and as you can imagine, it was quite draining!
Now onto the actual glitch. Although this is very similar to my OOB cone glitch, this video introduces a new concept, where two cones can be in the same place at the same time. I tried pushing two cones into the same spot before, but was unable to do so. However, I have now found two methods to achieve this result:
1. Ram into a cone, then push another cone right where it will respawn, so when the cone falls, it lands directly on top of the other cone. Somehow, the cone is not pushed out of the other cone until you interact with them again. This is another very intriguing observation, because it suggests that the cones' collision detection is dependent at least in some form on the player!
2. Push a cone to the end of its "invisible radius" and against a regular wall, so it is cornered on two sides. Push another cone behind it to create a third wall, and drive into the fourth side of the cone. If done correctly, the cone will glitch inside of the other cone, once again only reverting to separate cones when they are touched by the player.
These new observations don't help with any real shortcuts yet, though they are definitely moving it in that direction. I do have one idea for a practical use for the cones, though:
First you could glitch a cone OOB. Then you could get OOB somehow yourself. There are many known methods to do this all throughout the track, so this wouldn't be impossible. Now you can push that OOB cone, and while you push it, you might not be able to be detected OOB, similar to hugging the wall underwater in KC. The difference is that the wall is movable now, and can be taken wherever you want it to, allowing you to go anywhere OOB that would normally kill you. The Figure-8 section would be best for this because it has a bunch of OOB territory to below it that could be used to create an ultra shortcut, as it is close to the start line.
It's an outlandish idea for sure, but isn't that what I'm becoming known for at this point? Coming up with the ideas that no one would ever think of. And yeah, some (probably like this one) will be busts, but maybe some of them will be rMR ultras too...
Finally, I'm aware that the cones can't be glitched outside of their radius, so that would be the final obstacle that needs to be overcome before this could be tested in action.
Thank you again for watching and taking the time to read this description! This one is already getting a lot less attention than the other two, so if anyone wants to take the time to investigate this, that would be greatly appreciated!Cone TeleportationJaden2020-01-11 | I just wanted to take this opportunity to welcome all of the new subscribers! I know 30 isn't that many, but it's still 30 more than I had a week ago. I still can't believe that I made a discovery that directly led to an ultra shortcut in 2020! I am very busy right now as it is nearing the end of my semester, but I did have time to make this one quick video.
These cones are the most broken thing in Mario Kart Wii, yet have somehow been largely ignored until now. After seeing the sheer amount of jank in this video, I actually think there may be some way to implement this into some sort of shortcut. It may not be a groundbreaking discovery, but I still think it is very interesting!
My Observations:
- The cones have a radius that they can't go outside of. I don't know if these are invisible walls that exist only for the cones, but this by itself is pretty intriguing. As far as I know, there is no way to get the cone outside of it's radius. So, if your dream was to bring all the cones together for one big jamboree, I'm sorry, but it's not gonna happen.
- If you drive slowly into the cones at the right angle, they can clip through invisible walls that the player themselves can't get through. So, if there was somehow a way to hitch a ride with the cone, that could give the potential for one of the weirdest shortcuts of all time.
- 0:45 is by far the most interesting part to me. It looks as if Funky Kong is overlapping the cone, and then it teleports behind the invisible wall. I returned to it on Lap 2 and 3, and it never despawned from OOB.
I know one thing for sure; these cones have definitely been glossed over until now, and could be the key to understanding some game mechanics we don't quite understand yet.
I hope I can continue to make more interesting videos like this one, and thanks again for the support in the early days of my channel!
