This is "Xenon" for the Amstrad CPC released back in 1988 by Melbourne House and developed by Anthony Williams(code) and David Whittaker(music).
Personally i enjoyed the CPC version more than the Amiga.
It suffers from slow downs when many things are happening on screen and especially while fighting the boss.
My other complaint is that the boss takes a million bullets to die!
