For alto recorder (x3 in recording), clarinet, bass clarinet

This was not what I originally had in mind in terms of instrumentation but for something that wound up coming together at the last minute I dig it! I chose to do the backing parts legato in contrast to the pizzicato of the original and I think it worked very nicely in highlighting the character of the clarinets.

The alto recorder range was perfect for the melody, and it really added that rustic timbre that I associate with Xenogears.
