Here's my metalcore cover of "Black Tar" from Xenoblade Chronicles X on guitar and drums.

I started replaying Xenoblade Chronicles X recently and was reminded how great the soundtrack actually was. I honestly didn't like the soundtrack much at first, but it's grown on me and I actually like what Sawano was going for.
I personally think the mix for this cover came out better than anything I've done before. I experimented with a different approach to mixing drums (I used a lot of parallel compression and distortion via buses, along with different EQ curves for the kick and snare) and I did some subtle volume automation on the rhythm guitars to make them pop a little more in the heavier sections.
One thing that didn't turn out as well as I would've hoped was the color. Most of the shots were recorded at different parts of the day on different days, so the window light ended up changing colors and brightness. This messed up the color for most of the video. I could've put more effort into fixing it, but by the time I got to color correction, I was ready to just finish it and export.

![Kade Kalka - ehhhhh3068 [Originals]
My GLORIOUS return to YouTube after being gone for over a month is... some random piece of shit song I found sitting on my desktop. It isnt even remotely good in my opinion; however, I thought one might get at least some level of enjoyment from... whatever it is.

![Xenoblade - On the Fallen Arm... - Ambient Rock Cover [VGMC]
This is one of my favorite tracks from Xenoblade. I just love how perfectly it fits the atmosphere of the area in which it plays. Ive tried covering this track MANY times, but I never got anything that seemed passable until now.
Its kinda how weird how this cover came about actually. I was jamming out to the track and then I just busted out a solo of out of nowhere. I recorded that solo and then I went from there to make this ambient, bluesy, rock cover. I hope I did the track at least some justice. :P

![Donkey Kong Country 2 - Disco Train (Roller Coaster) - Cover [VGMC] [Music Videos]
I decided to re-listen to the DKC2 OST the other day and I heard this track. Once I heard it, I needed to remix it.
