We are excited to welcome Tim Decker as March’s Xencelabs Artist Spotlight.
Tim Decker has played an important role in children's entertainment, along with extensive experience in game animation, character design, and children's television. Tim’s professional experience includes being Animation Supervisor for Disney Interactive, lead animator for Knowledge Adventure, and layout artist/animator for the Emmy award-winning television series "The Simpson's", Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Alvin and Chipmunks, and the Critic.
Tim is specialized in Animation pre-production, production and post-production planning, character design, and contract negotiations. In 2005, Tim joined Brian Mennenoh at MATC and they created an outstanding animation program, the UWM-Peck School of the arts/film-animation program, and a full-time instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College teaching Traditional Animation and pre-production classes. He is currently a member of the Columbia College in Chicago Animation faculty.
Tim is a Graduate (BFA) of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) Character Animation Program and of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design as a drawing and painting major.
He enjoys working with and inspiring the artists of tomorrow with his teachings, and at the same time continuously creating his own art.
