In this demo, we’re going to load the XBee 3 BLU with a pre-defined setup then use the Digi XBee mobile app to get temperature and humidity readings and control the LED on the development board.
Align the XBee pins with the spring header on the dev board and carefully push it down. Connect the jumper wire to pins 24 and 36 on the dev board breakout connector. Plug in the USB-C cable and verify that the orange RSSI LED is solid.
Follow the getting started guide to configure the XBee module using Digi XBee studio.
In the XBee Mobile app, tap Get Started, Remote HMI, select your device, and enter 1234 as the password. Now you’ll see the humidity and pressure measurements from the dev board, and you can toggle the white LED on and off. You’ll also see these values updated and LED commands acknowledged in the MicroPython terminal in Digi XBee Studio.
