Apple has just announced the biggest HomeKit Secure Video update in years.

New features include:

• 4K video recording
• AI generated event summaries
• Natural language search
• Multi camera event tracking
• New event filtering tools
• Redesigned camera timeline

Apple Intelligence can now understand what’s happening in your recordings, helping you find package deliveries, people, pets and other important events in seconds.

I’ve been testing the new experience and there is a lot to unpack, including one change I’m not entirely convinced about.
