At GLF Paris 2015, economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, previously Nigeria’s minister of finance and coordinating minister for the economy, pointed out that millions of people in Africa were already living with the consequences of the climate crisis. Today, she serves as the director general of the World Trade Organization.

Held on 5 and 6 December 2015 alongside the COP21 climate summit, GLF Paris brought together more than 3,000 people to forge solutions to the planet’s greatest climate and development challenges through sustainable land use.
