On this episode of Neon Galactic, I sit down with experiencer and researcher Julian Thorne to talk about his efforts to chart the archetypal influences at play in the stars and planets, and how those primal forces seem to shape the initiatory experiences of individual men and women.
Through his own transformative alien abduction, Thorne was alerted to the mysterious nature of the human soul and our experience here on this planet. This initiation led him to more than a decade’s worth of research into the work of Carl Jung, Richard Tarnas, Joseph Campbell, and many others, shaping his worldview and endowing him with insight as to our current predicament as a species.
Using that research, and an affinity for artificial intelligence, Thorne built a bot that he has deployed in a deepening suite of inquiries, the AstroMythic Map. After inputting the natal charts of some of the 20th Century’s prominent contact experiencers, Thorne unveiled a broad pattern of commonality, a kind of resonance that occurred amid planetary influences, repeat astral offenders that dictate the type and depth of given experiences a person has, or even whether they can have them at all.
Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Charon and Saturn play recurring roles, either to make a given soul available for initiation, or to lock them in a kind of ontological prison, where such experiences are not available.
We talk about his epiphany, his book, “Take Me To Your Belief System,” and how all these realizations are helping him to understand our current moment as a species, and where it’s all likely heading in the near future. We are in the midst of an initiatory wave, one of many that have occurred over the centuries, and if we refuse the call, we can expect a rising set of consequences whose ultimate aim is to push us toward realization.
We also talk about the use of artificial intelligence for this kind of work, and his efforts to ensure that hallucination or confabulation did not taint his results. It’s important to note that while AI may help detect these astrological connections, the positions and meaning have been established by millennia of tradition and practice.
