Pay attention to what happens to the regular, dull dungeon music we know.
Surprisingly well-choreographed for a broken game like WoW. So often artists do magnificent work, but bad management spoils the enjoyment. This is a highlight among a flood of appallingness.
It's not really even a dynamic music system, though, just a long, musical sound effect apparently scripted to trigger at a certain mob health pool.
It is interesting that the musical piece triggered for the gameplay event fits quite well with different progression timings here, though.
They're working on a real dynamic music system in Star Citizen, for example, since a cinematic impression is strongly aimed for there. (And Star Citizen has the excuse of being alpha, while WoW sometimes feels like one, too, and much more so now with the DF prepatch. I am not paying for my subscription anymore, but only using accumulated game gold for gametime tokens until that is used up.)
