❗ Concerning findings from undercover investigations revealed sellers trying to sell sick puppies.

The female puppy, we will call her Maisy, was initially described as 'mini' but then as 'the runt of the litter'. Maisy was visibly coughing throughout the visit, and the seller brushed it off as a vaccination side effect, giving her hot water and honey three times a day.
🩺 💊 The seller claimed the vet suggested antibiotics only if the cough was still an issue in one week. The seller went on to say both the male puppies also had 'really runny noses' as a side effect of their vaccinations, change of weather, and air conditioning. This sounded highly suspicious.
The seller said that Maisy’s mother was a 6-year-old whom she rescued at 1.5 years. The mother was only shown when specifically asked.
⚠️ After the visit, through a messaging app, the seller messaged that Maisy and the other puppies all had kennel cough. Maisy was given antibiotics.

Two years ago, eleven lions were rescued from poor conditions that were the result of the war in Sudan and brought to their forever home at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary. 🌄🦁

The past months, we reached out to over a 100 global fashion brands, asking them to make commitments to protecting lambs.
Why? Because 10+ million lambs suffer for wool each year. They endure a brutal mutilation where strips of skin and flesh are sliced off lambs’ bottoms— without proper pain relief. ❌
This is live lamb cutting (#mulesing), and over half of the world’s clothing wool begins with this cruelty. ✂️
We asked Michael Kors if they:
⭕have a clear policy against live lamb cutting (LLC).
⭕️label certified LLC-free wool on products.
⭕commit to excluding live-cut wool.
And Michael Kors said NOTHING, despite repeated outreach. 💤

This is exactly what happens to our pets during festivities, and there are ways to prevent stressful situations from happening, so that everyone in the family gets to enjoy New Year’s Eve. ✨
💡 Some tips: try to go on your daily walk in the calm of the afternoon, make sure all pets are inside before fireworks start, and be the calming presence they need if they start showing distress. Playing calming music, using pheromones for your feline friends and even working on desensitising dogs to loud noises can work as preventive measures.

The horrible smell is overpowering; puppies crammed in a crate with NO bedding. One poor pup has a visible hernia. This was all witnessed by undercover investigators. 🔍
The rest of the visit was conducted in a small hallway area due to the lack of space. 🛋️ Overall, the conditions seemed poor, cramped and chaotic.
The seller showed them one male and two female puppies available to buy.
On social media, all you see are adorable faces. But this is the heartbreaking reality.
Unethical breeding practices, poor living conditions.
