While my vision was able to be corrected with contact lenses during the years that I attended film school, I was not aware of my condition gradually and slowly decreasing that vision over time. It does make me wonder however, if I attended film school with my current eyesight, would I be able to attend? Would I be told to change my major because film and cinema are so heavily visual in the first place? It’s been one of those thoughts that I’ve had in the back of my mind ever since I first picked up a white cane and used a phone with a screen reader.
