Every year, Sydney Motorsport Park becomes the stage for World Time Attack, an event built around the pursuit of One Perfect Lap. It draws thousands of enthusiasts from around the world, some come to compete, others just to witness some of the fastest machines on the planet.
For the racers, it’s all about chasing that perfect lap time, The competition is fierce with categories ranging from grassroots club levels through to the elite Pro Class and this year a new addition of a Hypercar Class where Paganis and Ferraris took on Eastern Creek with some of Australia’s most trusted drivers behind the wheel.
But for many of us, myself included, World Time Attack is just as much about the atmosphere. It’s about catching up with mates you only see once a year, soaking in the energy, and celebrating the passion that brings us all together.
