Meet music photographer and BA (Hons) Photography graduate Andy Ford.

Returning to study at the University as a mature student following working as a chef and travelling the world surfing, Andy quickly showed a flair for both portrait and live music photography. In his second year he shot a cover feature of Biffy Clyro for The NME, shooting festivals across the world and editorial spreads with some of the world's biggest artists.

Away from his commercial work, Andy's also put together an impressive personal portfolio of work covering the people behind the South West hardcore scene and shooting the raw landscapes of Devon and Cornwall.

One year on from graduation, we find out more about Andy's process, practice and passion for photography – including his work for clients including Peugeot, Red Bull, Converse and shooting artists ranging from Beyonce to Slayer for some of the world's most prestigious music magazines. Andy also gives some top tips for aspiring photographers, and explains why Plymouth is a location packed with possibility for creative minds.
