N is probably my favorite villain in the Xenoblade series. I associate this theme with him the most, though it is also used fittingly for a few other characters (like Crys and Irma) throughout the story. I think this encapsulates the feeling of regret and betrayal so well. It's perfect for the cutscene of N's breakdown in Chapter 6.

This is a piano solo cover of Ma Meilleure Ennemie by Stromae & Pomme from the animated series Arcane: League of Legends. This song was featured in Season 2 Episode 7 “Pretend Like It’s the First Time”, specifically in the dance scene. Last week, I posted a version of this cover that more closely followed Mattias arrangement. For this week, I wanted to do a more rubato and dramatic version of his arrangement while also including a video of myself playing. I dont usually record myself playing, so this was a really fun project to put together. For the video, I did a bit more of an AMV style video featuring the relationships between Ekko and Jinx/Powder. The video clips are all featured from the episode and the official music video.

Now its time for Ivy and Hortensia, the lovely princesses of the Kingdom of Elusia in Elyos, to shine! These two characters really took me by surprise - I was not expecting either of them to be as interesting as they were. Ivy in particular became one of my favorites. Shes kind, dorky, and a powerhouse of a unit.
This piece feels much darker and more wistful than the other nations map themes. I like how it has some nods to the melody of A Pact for Piety, which I consider to be a bit more of the real Elusia theme, especially since its what plays in the cafe music box.
