I recently rewatched Madoka (and got my husband to watch with me), and it gave me a lot of feels. This is still one of my favorite anime tracks of all time, and it’s what got me into this show when it first came out. This song, OST, and show are so nostalgic for me, and I can’t wait to share more covers soon!
The title of this song is Latin for “Be a magical girl!”, which is the perfect title for a piece that feels like the main theme of this show. It really captures the wonder and the sorrow of being a magical girl. I really like this show’s take on the mahou shoujo genre, and the music is perfect for that.
Yuki Kajiura is an incredible composer, and she has composed a lot of my favorite anime soundtracks. She always captures the feelings of magic and wonder in her music, and I think that really comes through in her compositions for this series as well as the Rebellion movie.
Fun fact: This is the 4th version of this song that I have created. The previous 3 will not see the light of day because they are below my current standards, but I liked them at the time!

The Xenoblade title screen themes never miss!! Whenever I start a new game or DLC, I sit and watch/listen to the title screen until it loops. Coming back after beating the game is always so emotional, too.
**MAJOR SPOILERS**
I absolutely loved this DLC, especially since I was really hoping for some more story about the Founders. I could play a full-length game about Shulk, Rex, Glimmer, Nikol, Matthew, A, and Nael. I really loved this cast, and it was great to be able to experience their journey around Aionios. It was also so special to see Shulk and Rex all grown up and interacting with each other! I loved seeing Colony 9, Tantal, and other references to the past games. I really enjoyed the Alpha battle as well (even though it destroyed me a few times). The stuff on Origin blew my mind.
I love how this melody is reused in Release the Power and Future Awaits as well.
