Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone Final Week of Operation Full Walkthrough. Kidzone was one of the oldest lands at Universal Studios Florida, featuring some of Universal’s most prominent children’s properties from the early to mid 90’s. Since Disney had a monopoly on the most popular children entertainment at the time, many of the characters featured at the lands closing in 2023 may not have been as familiar with todays kids. Nevertheless, kids would still find fun in the attractions as they offered fun interactive experiences and small thrills. Featured in this video is Fievel’s Playland, a kids playground with oversized items to climb through and a water slide; Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse coaster, a Vekoma junior coaster with a queue full of puns; and Curious George Goes to Town, another play area featuring a massive interactive water play structure and The Ball Factory where kids and parents could shoot foam balls. Also featured in this video is the outside of Dreamworks Destination, whose building served most of its life as A Day in the Park with Barney, a stage show for small kids with more fun interactive exhibits at the exit. The land lived virtually unchanged its entire life outside of this. All of these attractions have been fully demolished or removed besides the coaster and the building for Dreamworks Destination, and the area is rumored to be replaced by a Pokémon or Dreamworks area for kids.
