After the true peak of wooden coasters, the ots would begin with another change of the guard of old manufactures ending and transitioning into new forms, while also seeing the biggest innovation in wooden coasters since their conception. Forward thinking Intamin would attempt to streamline the manufacturing process in a similar way to how they began to produce steel coasters, with a short lived but adored model. Aside from that, GCI would continue to produce more twisted and quickly paced coasters, while a fan favorite manufacturer would be reincarnated as the Gravity Group, producing less lateral focused but still out of control wild coasters. This is part four of a five part series covering the full history of wooden coasters, seeing the beginning of the modern era of wooden coasters with the familiar manufacturers.
