This week my project is towards my ART GCSE which is on a theme of Fantastic and Strange, so I have combined a Rainbow with a Snake which I feel fits the description quite well.

The piece of ash is 12 inch diameter and a depth of 2 inch. I have used Chestnut Products rainbow spirit stains to colour and finished with an acrylic gloss lacquer which really gives it a shine and makes it look like a stain glass window effect.

I turned it on my Record Power Coronet Herald lathe.
