I think that this is Hackberry from Pelee Island but i could be wrong on wood ID, i cut it from a log a couple of years ago, sealed it and cling wrapped it.
There it sat for a while until finally today i turned this bowl, not having a clue what might lie inside is a huge part of what i love about wood turning.
