back in 2018 my son was in need of a massive surgery and financial assistance, many people helped out in any way that they could and as a family we really appreciated that help. one thing that happened for him was a fund raiser, i made a tree stand that donated gift cards would be attached to as a prize that someone would win at the event, i had forgotten that i recorded any of this and recently found this short footage and though that i would share it with you.
If you decide to undertake this type of project please do as much research as you can so that you fully understand the potential dangers involved, I am a qualified industrial electrician so consider myself trained in this field so I understand how dangerous this could be if not done properly.
The AAW are dead set against this practice understandably as people out there are making their own units and not following any guidelines. My machine was purchased at conestogaworks.com/woodburners.html

I have been woodturning since 2013, I love it as a creative outlet.
For me it has been a journey, from my great great grandfathers wooden bowl that i own to my fathers the community or woodturners is great, there is lots of help and support out there available at the touch of a button. don't be intimidated or scared to ask questions no matter how basic, most of all be safe in your workshop, follow all safety rules and guidelines.
use channels such as mine as inspiration and entertainment.
it is recommended to get proper training with power tools to prevent accidents
most of all remember to be creative and have fun
