Inspired by Disneyland, cities around America would be inspired to bring their own themed family park to their own region, and while many had unique traits, everything would change with a new park in Cincinatti. Replacing the local Coney Island which was susceptible to floods, Kings Island would feature a handful of similar rides and aspects of Disneyland and other parks, but most importantly, a striking white double tracked wooden coaster named the Racer. This would kick off a new craze for not just steel but plenty of wooden coasters as well, all attempting to outdo themselves with larger and larger designs, all done without and computer aided design, just pure math and physics. There would be more unique racers, fast paced out and backs, and a new concept also conceived by Kings Island where riders would travel through the woods in an unpredictable layout.
