A demo on how to use pastels in combination with Bestine (rubber cement thinner) to render a wooden cube. Streaks are created with pastel powder, using a Webril cotton pad that has been wetted with the solvent. Other effects: wood grain, reflections, etc. are obtained using a combination of wet and dry media. Demo by Prof. Robert Natata for the 420 Rapid Viz (Rapid Visualization) class, also taught by Pino Trogu at San Francisco State University.
