It couldn't be, Aqua thought. There was no way. But there he was, standing in front of her.
Zack. The man she had loved and lost.
He reached for her. He said he only wanted to be with her. The desperation in his voice scared her.
It couldn't really be Zack. She refused to believe it. When she rejected him, he turned violent; proclaiming to want them to be togeather.
He tried to kill her. But didn't. Couldn't. The negative energy released into the world and almost destroyed it.
Aqua was shocked. It really was Zack. Only Zack would have stopped himself from hurting her. So she decided to be with him. To save the world. To save him. She gave in.

So, I didn't know what to do with this round. I had to make an obsessive relationship outta such a cute couple. But, this obsession isn't quite dark and possessive. It's more like a lost spirit holding on to the life he use to have; holding on so tight he could see nothing else.
I'm kinda happy with how it turned out^^

Bonus question: (Why ship your couple?)
1) The best kind of ships are the tragic ones. Zack and Aqua are both very heroic characters who would stop at nothing to save those they love. Heros, however, don't have long lives. I can't see these two ever being togeather because of their self-sacrificing nature. But that bitter-sweetness is what makes them so fascinating.
2) They have great chemistry. Just that short scene with them togeather in Birth by Sleep was enough for me to fall in love with this couple. They had such an easy way of speaking to each other.
3)They are very alike; enough so that they would get along well. But they also have enough diffrences to make them a compatible couple. Like Aqua is a bit more reserved and orderly. Zack a bit more of free spirit. They balance each other well.
