Women are often more informed about hormones than their own doctor and this needs to change.

This week on my @drlouisenewsonpodcast, Dr Holly Carding, GP, Women’s Hormone Specialist and Education Lead at @newson_education, joined me to talk about that mismatch, and why it's leaving so many women frustrated when they're the ones bringing the knowledge into the consultation room.

Doctors are often scared of hormone treatments for the wrong reasons because they were never properly taught the physiology behind them and that fear needs to be replaced with proper training and education. When doctors understand hormones and hormone treatments, women will suffer less.
