This is our two-year-old educational baby black rat snake. After devouring two small mice, she decided that my finger smelled tasty as well and took a nibble. Cute while she's little, but not behavior I plan to encourage! Right now her teeth are small enough they can just barely break the skin, and then only when she's really digging in (kittens tend to draw more blood than baby snakes). The important part is not to damage her mouth or teeth when I extract her from my finger - since her teeth curve back towards her body like tiny hooks you have to gently work them out rather than just yanking away.
