Eppie is a big brown bat who was brought in with a wing injury that unfortunately turned out to be permanent. Since she is not able to fly, and wouldn't survive in the wild, she now has a home as an educational ambassador. Her name is from the scientific name for the big brown bat: Eptesicus fuscus
