Lovely bit of melodic techno/house... whatever you want to call it from Wolkenrot with his track "Breath". Awesome chord progressions in this one that really tug at the ol' heart. Really appreciate how reserved this track is as well, it can be super easy to slip up and have instruments overpower a track when creating laidback jams like this. Oh man, you hombres know how much I love the dark vibes and today I got a good one from SWARM and Lizzy Jane called Sleep Forever. I dont think Im ever going to grow up, I still love these savage dubstep basslines. Add on top of that the awesome vocals and you have a really well-defined theme to this tune, really digging the gothic feeling. Reminds me of something from my past that I cant quite remember.

Exploring the boundaries of my own musical tastes today with a track called passion from Zen Parks. Its crazy the amount of music Im being exposed to now on a daily basis and most of it isnt stuff I would know to even go looking for. One of my biggest surprises was how much awesome indie electronic music is out there. Well enough about me. Zen Parks was originally a solo project created in 2016 by singer/songwriter Mateo Guidali but he would soon be joined by Rafael Aritmendi and his repertoire of drums and percussion instruments. Personally, Im pretty glad these guys decided to go in on this project together, I feel like their joint venture really has a unique sound.

This tune... where do I even start? Well first off, this track is from Lyrah, shes a lifelong musician who started young singing at church, as many vocalists do. She continued her musical journey singing at skate shows with her metal band during her developmental years and more recently has been touring London as a keyboardist for Paul Thomas Sanders. 2019 is the year for Lyrah to strike out on her own and I think shes more than ready to tackle the challenge. Vocals, wow, these vocals got me hooked right away and when you mix in elements like that amazing 80s feeling guitar strum sound soaked in reverb and delay... my goodness. I mean Im not even getting into the nostalgia factor of the lyrics, Im sure we can all relate to that feeling of falling in love with someone and discovering all their crazy quirks when its just the two of you. Beautiful tune, so thankful this came my way. If you guys like the track please do consider sharing it with some friends.
