Wizordum is a very classic style first person shooter that is currently in early access, and at the time of publishing this video are available the first two episodes of the 3 planned. This is a complete gameplay of the first one (maybe I have left a zone or a small secret level in the 5th level). I play in a difficulty above normal (master) and I try to show all the secrets I can, which are almost all.

This game is inspired by the first FPS appeared in the early 90's for MS-DOS as Wolfenstein 3D and Catacomb 3-D (especially the latter, as is well hinted in 30:33). The feeling of playing one of those games is very well achieved, but of course with a better gameplay and control, and a more advanced engine (it's grid-like as those games were, but with several layers). It also borrows elements from other shooters of the time a little later as Heretic in the aspect of the items that we can accumulate, and in general in the phantasy aspect reminds a lot too.

I must admit that although I knew about it, I left it a little aside, at least until it was out of early access. The thing is that many games of this style are coming out lately (which I think is great) and you can't play everything. But Apogee, the publisher of the game, offered me a key, and I didn't miss the opportunity to try it.

From what I've played in this first episode, I liked it a lot, it's fun, it combines classic elements with some more modern ones (for example, the treasures are not only for scoring, but also to buy upgrades), the level design is good, and personally what I liked the most is the pixelated, colorful and “gridded” visual aspect that I find pleasant and sometimes colorful.
