In this video, I make a rustic log furniture table for a camping site. I use my chainsaw and rip the logs without using a chainsaw mill.
I just love rustic furniture, and I do a bit of very basic chainsaw carving, so that all helped me make this very robust campsite table. There is something about chainsaw furniture that appeals to me; maybe one day, a log cabin could be on the menu.
The table was made using River Red Gum Trees (Eucalyptus camaldulensis). In Outback NSW. Australia. The fallen trees used were only a very short distance from where the table was built.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it, and I would like to thank the people at the campsite for their help and feedback. What a great bunch of people, there were laughs all around. Thanks.
I can't stress enough that chainsaws are dangerous; you should get proper training and use all the personal safety protection equipment. I am definitely not a good safety role model. Be safe, people.
