Welcome to the Witchual Workout with Laura Tempest Zakroff - a ritually-inspired movement experience designed to get us moving a bit more on a daily basis. 5 days a week, we'll have a different magical focus and build up our stamina and body exploration.
It's Wednesday, so we're looking to the divine again for our theme. Today's inspiration is Asklepios (Asclepius) - Greek god of medicine, a son of Apollo. He is often depicted with a staff that has a serpent spiraling around it. We are going to use a very simple hand/arm sequence to tap into this healing energy, so you can do this seated - and there isn't the usual warm-up. You can use what we go over today to combine it with larger movements, or just keep it simple.
Thumbnail painting is by me and was a special commission.
Music:
"Kirina's Theme" [Bamboo Flute Version) by Kodo - Tataku: The Best of Kodo, Vol 2. (1994-1999)
