(April 29, 2014) -- A Wisconsin charity is accused of preying on families with special needs children. The first report from WISN-TV in Milwaukee focuses on one family who obtained a "service dog" for their 6-year old son Lucas from Compassionate Paws Inc (compassionatepaws.org/), based in Pine River, Wisconsin. Mary and Grant Hultman say their son has Angelman's syndrome, a severe developmental disability. The WISN report is followed by a second story from WCCO-TV in Minneapolis with additional information, including the story of at least one other family, who are among at least 7 people suing the charity. The WCCO report also includes a response from Compassionate Paws that you have to see to believe.
