This months video I photograph a local winter woodland with its winter colour, bare branches and dormant trees with their spiny branches looking like arms outreached to the snow bearing skies above. Join me as I look for the beautiful winter woodland images to be had in my local woodland and discover unique winter woodland imagery on my doorstep.
Within this video I produce two detailed and emotive winter woodland photos titled "A little Bit of Copper" & "Forget Me Not!" - This was made possible by using the Pentax K1 Camera, SMS Pentax-da* 60-250mm F4 ED telephoto lens, a shallow depth of field and an ounce of luck as a short but sharp snow shower softened the bony winter tree branches with an ethereal winter twist that helped produced some unique and striking winter woodland photography.
I hope you enjoy this short video, I have to admit it, its been very frustrating with the ongoing pandemic and lock downs making venturing much further than your own front garden a real burden, this has been made especially harder because winter offers up the opportunity to shoot some truly unique images with frost, snow and ice and we have been blessed here in the UK with several days and weeks of on of snow fall and wintery conditions, but without the opportunity to go an explore.
I hope you enjoy the images produced with their unique and ethereal winter colours, and it inspires you to think and visit local, look for the smaller everyday details in your local woodland, parks and communities at this very special time of year.
