Out for an overnight winter camping trip with this 'Wechsel Venture One' tent to try it out.
No wild storm, wind or rain for a change, just clear and still with amazing views of the night sky and Northern lights (Aurora Borealis).
Have been wanting to revisit and camp in this area for a while and it has been 8 years since my last visit. It was also the location of one of my very first ever YouTube videos. The weather forecast was looking amazing so it would allow me to meet up again with Andrew Park and also test out this new tent in some fairly cold weather.
This was a basic look and overview of the tent, but so far I like many aspects of it. However the limited storage and inner pitch first maybe a deal breaker for many. I need to try it out in some wild weather to see how it really performs.
'Ben Vrackie' (787m) sits behind the town of 'Pitlochry' and has for long been an extremely popular ascent for those visiting the town. The summit is a great viewpoint and the ascent follows good paths through woodland, open moorland and past picturesque 'Loch a' Choire'.
