Cheap MLD Duomid inner tent / nest system upgrade for wild camping and ultralight backpacking over 4-Seasons delivered from AliExpress.
I had been searching for an inner tent with solid side panels to help block wind from coming underneath the tent in stormy weather, and also to help boost temperatures inside during the colder months.
This inner nest cost me $54 or ยฃ45 UK pounds and after a little wait on it arriving from China, I was very surprised at how well it fits inside the MLD Duomid and its quality of construction.
With the inner tent weighing in at only 340 grams and paired with the DCF (Cuben Fibre) Duomid, it is providing and exceptionally lightweight, storm worthy tent that I feel is suited well to the UK and Scottish climate.
The overall weight of the setup including the carbon centre pole is a little bit heavier than I mentioned coming in at 1025 grams (2.26 lbs). Still a very spacious and light for what I feel it might be an ideal 4-Season wild camping and backpacking setup.
Canโt wait to get out wild camping and give it a try over the coming year.
