Winter sowing vegetables - best types of containers to use for mini greenhouses
Winter Sowing is an amazing technique of planting seeds in the winter outdoors in the snow in mini greenhouses. The seeds lay dormant all winter. They expand and contract, they germinate in the spring right in the containers!
The best part is you don't need to fill your house with seedlings. You don't need to waste electricity with grow lights. AND you don't need to 'harden' your seedlings by having to take them indoors and outdoors every day while making them stronger and weather worthy.
I had very successful vegetable seedling growth with this method.
