In this video, watch my Winter Sowing near disaster! After a week of freezing rain on top of two feet of pack snow, my Winter Sowing containers slid along the snow. Many tipped over, dumping the soil and seeds upside down in the containers. :(

I put them the very same place I did last year and did not have this problem. This is the only place I can place the containers that the deer won't trample upon them, the dogs won't pee on them and that is not hilly. This area has only a slight grade.
