Vendor checks for decent bows (%inc Physical Damage, flat Lightning, flat Physical) are pretty important. At 28 you can get the Dualstring Bow. Pick up all Dualstring Bows no matter what rarity. I would use Blacksmith Whetstones, Artificers Orbs & Storm Runes that I have gathered so far to craft a decent Dualstring Bow.
For example a Dualstring with decent flat Lightning/flat Physical are worth investing your currency into. I would continue using that bow until the next tier of Dualstring which is Twin Bow (level 55) unless you get a very good bow before that. You can also get flat damage on your gloves, quiver and rings. The next bow base to aim for would be Gemini at 78.
Once you get the Reforge Bench I would also use that to reforge failed crafts.

Splitting Steel: Projectiles can no longer return. Now has 120-387% Effectiveness of Base and Added Damage at gem levels 1-20 (previously 120-330%), and now has a base Radius of 0.8-1.2 metres at gem levels 1-20 (previously 0.6-1).

For single target damage you need to stand on top of your opponent as the returning projectiles will return to you. At 38 you change to Splitting Steel with Returning Projectiles Support:

I didnt use Brutality because I had Kaoms Primacy (~470 DPS axe)

I also recommend going the Mana Leech Nodes in Act 4 with Splitting Steel (The node under Vitality Void)
This build goes Precise Technique so you need to make sure your Accuracy Rating is higher than your HP. There are Accuracy Rating nodes near the Precise Technique Node which you can get (Weathered Hunter) and the Accuracy Mastery Notable (+500 to Accuracy, -2 Accuracy per Level) is good. Precision will help too.
