November 21, 2016: Winnipeggers joined citizens in dozens of communities across Canada in opposing the proposed Kinder Morgan Transmountain Pipeline. A federal government decision is expected soon and opponents sent a message to the Trudeau Liberals that this pipeline must not be built.
Demonstrators closed out the vigil with a song sung to the tune of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Here are the lyrics.

With corporate shills and cash appeal
When you say you care about climate, do ya?
Well it goes like this: destroy the myth
That we need carbon monoliths
We got your back if Big Oil tries to sue ya
