I made top-8 in the stroke play qualifiers for Winks' Pat's Open (I actually had the top-seed total mostly due to a great Pat's Lake and Pat's Ocean). This is the quarterfinal match against Clutch - the 8th seed - at the Pat's Pond permutation of holes. The holes are the same, but the TO conditions were reset to normal. I decided to try using Donkey Kong due to his greater power for the par 5s and short par 4s - and Clutch did the same. I'm player 1 in this match - Clutch is player 2.
It was immediately apparent that I might've goaded Clutch to pick Donkey Kong, and he wasn't the most comfortable at first. He did play much better toward the end, but I still held on for the win. I await the winner between htcp and remkey for the semifinals at Pat's Lake. It'll be a wild one, so stay tuned!
