OH BOY do I have a good golf game for you! Two very competent golfers trading tactics with continuously escalating stakes! I could not arrange a better one-on-one Coin Attack battle if I tried! A lot of abnormal shots taken for the glory!
So here's how this brain game works:
- Since this was part of our ongoing randomized tournament, we rolled for characters, course, and choice of 1p/2p. I am Daisy, elijah is Shadow Mario.
- 1p leads off hole 1; subsequent holes go off reverse honors i.e. tee shot order is determined in reverse order of the number of coins collected on the previous hole.
- Since shot order is determined by proximity to the cup, we find ourselves potentially undercutting each other for dibs on certain coin clusters. That, or just assertively attempting to steal whatever cluster your opponent might've wanted to collect.
- And - of course - since failing to par the hole means ALL coins collected on the hole are forfeited, this creates absurd levels of risk/reward shotmaking.
I'm always finding new routes every time I go through this. Coin Attack is an underrated gem. If you're newbies/drunk, do Quick Cash and go nuts. If you're playing for keeps, Cash Cup is cerebral and scary.
